All courses are approved and verified by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) which provides a coherent progression route to becoming a 'qualified' Counsellor.

CPCAB LEVEL 2 Introduction to Counselling Skills

  • The next Introduction to Counselling course will begin on 21st April 2020 (10am-1pm) in Wellingborough;

  • Open for applications now.

  • The aim of this course is to provide an introduction to counselling for those who want to learn initial counselling skills to help and support others (either in a voluntary or employed capacity). It will not teach how to be a counsellor but it may assist in deciding whether you wish to proceed onto further counselling training courses.

CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills

​

  • The next Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills course will begin in September 2020.

  • The course is designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and competencies to use counselling skills ethically and safely in a variety of contexts and roles.

  • It will not provide you with the qualification to practice as a counsellor but will enable progression onto the next level of training.

CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies

  • The next Level Certificate in Counselling Studies course will begin in September 2020.

  • The course is intended for learners who have already gained a recognised qualification in counselling skills and want to take the next step in their training to become a Counsellor;

  • You will learn about counselling theory, ethics and mental health;

CPCAB Level 4 Diploman in Therapeutic Counselling

  • The next 2 year Level 4 course will begin in January 2021.

  • This course will provide students with the knowledge, skills and competencies to work as a therapeutic counsellor in an agency context (and in private practice if suitably ready and in discussion with a clinical supervisor). 

  • It will run every Wednesday evening and regular weekends over the two years of the course.
