THIS COURSE WILL BEGIN IN JANUARY 2020 - OPEN TO APPLICATIONS NOW

Northamptonshire Centre for Counselling Studies is pleased to be working with local charity, Service Six to offer counselling training for those working in an educational setting.  So if you are a Head Teacher, Teacher, Learning Support Assistant, Volunteer or any other role based in an educational environment, this course might be of interest to you.

More and more children are struggling to cope with their mental health and it is essential that this becomes part of daily conversation in the classroom and not just seen as something extra to the curriculum.

Creating an environment that promotes good mental health begins with good listening skills and noticing and improving your own mental health, self-care and well-being.

This qualification is designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and competencies to use counselling skills ethically and safely. It is designed for those who want to:-

  • Undertake the first level of training as a professional counsellor;

  • Learn counselling skills to assist with other professional or helping roles;

  • Improve their professional and personal relationships as part of personal development.
